And yet, so very very far away. Today I'm 35 weeks and 2 days. I've got about 2 more weeks before I can try to shake this little boy loose without anyone trying to stop it or admit me to a hospital in the great state of North Carolina....YES!!!!!......wait...no! TWO WEEKS....ugh. I'm seeing numbers on that scale that should be considered other worldly!
Well, on another note, work seems to be looking up, and decisions seems to be starting to make sense...more on that later.
And ANOTHER note...I've decided to try my hand at quilting!!! At the very least, my little one will get one amazing (hopefully haha) keepsake to drag around. But my hopes are that while I'm out on maternity leave I can turn it into an income source, making fashionable, cute, or sweet customized (or choose from my lot) quilts that DON'T look like they used to be in a great-grandmother's closet.
Isn't that something we could all use? :-)
Oh, and my husband is the best, hydroponic tulips are SO cool!
More updates and details soon! Promise!

Carseat Canopy update!
SO...I decided NOT to get the "whole caboodle" since I really do like our cute carseat(s) and $12.90 for just shipping seemed a lot more reasonable for us right now than almost $50 (though that also included shipping). Plus it'll give me an excuse to get a really really stylish and cute one next time if baby number two ends up being a girl!
So, its supposed to ship in 2 business days which is great, and the BEST PART - I have more coupon codes to share! I swear, almost everywhere I go I get codes for these two sites, so I already have one of each for myself, but please feel free to check out the codes below for a free Udder Cover nursing cover and a free Seven(TM) slings baby carrier!
Use Promo Code "carseat"

Carseat Canopy? We need EVERYTHING!
So, while perusing a "secret" Facebook group of soon-to-be moms, I noticed a post about a deal for Carseat Canopy. While I want the world for my little guy, we are (unfortunately) on a budget - I don't even have my band yet! So I checked out the site, and now, instead of just getting the *free* canopy, I want "The Whole Caboodle"! Go figure right??? Geeze...I need to find a good way to make money from home so that we can start paying things down, and spoiling Jayden and Marco like nobody's business! Well, this isn't really a review since I'm ordering mine today, BUT the link is posted below, so if you visit the site, PLEASE add a review as a comment here! I'll be sure to update when I get my....(drumroll please)....Canopy with or without the Caboodle hahaha...I haven't decided yet! Link is below (click name)
ALSO - coupon code!!!! If you use ABABY1212 you can get a FREE canopy and pay shipping, or the whole caboodle for $42.90 including shipping!
Awesome, right?

Finally feeling it...where have I been?!
So...I cannot believe that I did not write either here or in my journal or SOMEWHERE consistently throughout this pregnancy. I guess I've been trying so hard to not be seen as just a pregnant person by everyone I know that I haven't been documenting NEARLY as much as my memory-obsessed self normally would have.
Gosh...where to begin??? Perhaps I'll list some serious events below and go from there (my apologies for anything that doesn't make sense...baby brain in full effect and I'm not 100% today at all)...
Special Dates so far...
Well, though I can't concentrate right now, I should probably get back to work! Many more updates coming in the near future as I just want to get this over with already!!! I can't expand anymore...not possible, right?!
Hugs and kisses,
JCJ

Quickening!
Okay - so this isn't ACTUALLY the "quickening phase...that happened (I'm fairly certain) while I was driving home from getting my hair done on September 20th, 2012. And boy so exciting!!!
But just a few minutes ago I SWEAR he was doing cartwheels! For so many minutes that I was just sitting at my desk in awe and happiness while getting nothing at all done.
Aren't such little miracles a blessing? I'll never get these first feelings back, so I wanted to share!

Women's Birth & Wellness Center
So...though I still haven't made a general announcement as of today, 10/9/12, I'm pretty pregnant. There isn't much to do to get around that fact considering I'm about 19 weeks along (check out Jayden's ticker in the sidebar!). Since that is a fact, and life is about to get SO MUCH MORE real than many of my peers have experienced thus far, I've decided to try to make this blog work for me, and work with me to help educate, entertain, and enlighten myself, my loved ones, and anyone (like I sometimes do) that gets far too bored and starts reading random blogs or searching topics they don't want to ask about on Google.
So...topic of the day? The Women's Birth & Wellness center in Chapel Hill, NC. We've (me and my darling curly head) had a few ups and downs in the selection process, and we're happy with our decision to use the only certified free-standing birth center in Eastern North Carolina. Don't mistake me - I take prescriptions from my trusted doc, Dr. Theresa Amerson in downtown Raleigh, I'm not 100% holistic, a health food nut, or in any related category. I do however believe that women giving birth is NATURAL and unless something goes terribly wrong (not a little bit slow, or a lot slow, but actually wrong) it should be done naturally. That being said, unless Jayden or I are sick or in trouble, I see no reason for the increased cost and routine needles of a hospital.
Which brings me to the birthing center! The Women's Birth & Wellness Center is a pretty cool place thus far. There's a system in place to keep monthly numbers manageable (i.e. don't run out of beds for women in labor) as well as education options (and requirements) for those that attend. The bulletin board alone probably provides more information, resources, and informational opportunities than the average hospital bulletin.
Well...I'm supposed to be working, so more to come later, however after 2 visits I can already say the only other place I would choose to have my children (assuming no life-threatening issues) is at home.

The New...Unexpected?
So...since my first post we've revealed the big news to all those important (which DOES NOT include the Facebook community lol) and close to us, our parents have digested and gone through whatever their array of emotions were to end up at serene happiness while awaiting the arrival of their first grand-cutie pie. The friends congratulated, the guys drank (and got a little silly over bowling) and the girls just knew the sex.
Well...due to dad's effort's this time, we're having a BOY! Yes...a potential little ball of ridiculous energy and mouthiness ready and waiting to turn our world upside down. And yes, he's got a name, to be revealed later. And boy am I hungry...oh, and 17weeks! I can't believe so much time has passed already. I supposed I should finish telling people I know before I wake up and suddenly its obvious!
Well...I've lost my fervor for writing for the day. I thought it would last longer and include more information...interesting.
