The End is Near...

And yet, so very very far away. Today I'm 35 weeks and 2 days. I've got about 2 more weeks before I can try to shake this little boy loose without anyone trying to stop it or admit me to a hospital in the great state of North Carolina....YES!!!!!......wait...no! TWO WEEKS....ugh. I'm seeing numbers on that scale that should be considered other worldly!

Well, on another note, work seems to be looking up, and decisions seems to be starting to make sense...more on that later.

And ANOTHER note...I've decided to try my hand at quilting!!! At the very least, my little one will get one amazing (hopefully haha) keepsake to drag around. But my hopes are that while I'm out on maternity leave I can turn it into an income source, making fashionable, cute, or sweet customized (or choose from my lot) quilts that DON'T look like they used to be in a great-grandmother's closet.

Isn't that something we could all use? :-)

Oh, and my husband is the best, hydroponic tulips are SO cool!

Finally feeling it...where have I been?!

So...I cannot believe that I did not write either here or in my journal or SOMEWHERE consistently throughout this pregnancy. I guess I've been trying so hard to not be seen as just a pregnant person by everyone I know that I haven't been documenting NEARLY as much as my memory-obsessed self normally would have.

Gosh...where to begin??? Perhaps I'll list some serious events below and go from there (my apologies for anything that doesn't make sense...baby brain in full effect and I'm not 100% today at all)...

• 05/29/2012 - LMP (lol TMI?)
• 08/22/2012 - 1st appointment at WBWC - 12w1d - heard heartbeat for the first time!
• 09/21/2012 - 2nd appointment at WBWC - 16w3d - heard heartbeat again!
• 09/21/2012 - FIRST ULTRASOUND!!! - We found out after 20 minutes of trying to get our baby to uncross their legs, that its a BOY! Named (wayyyy back in March 2012) Jayden James Janoff
• 09/22/2012 - family photo shoot with Mommy, Donald, Douglas, and Demetrius
• 10/02/2012 - Mommy's 46th Birthday!
• 10/12/2012 - WE GOT MARRIED!!!
• 10/19/2012 - 3rd appointment at WBWC - 20w3d
• 10/25/2012 - Douglas' 31st Birthday!!!
• 11/02/2012 - 4th appointment at WBWC - 22w3d
• 11/06/2012 - ELECTION DAY! (i.e. standing in the cold at 6:30am to vote day)
• 11/16/2012 - Anatomy Scan (ultrasound) at Women's Hospital in Chapel Hill - 24w3d - requested by WBWC since I was "measuring so large", they feared it was twins or our dates were a month off! I think my baby is just going to have a taller future than his mom, due date remained unchanged for our (count him!) ONE baby
• 11/30/2012 - 5th appointment at WBWC - 26w3d - time to switch from monthly to bi-weekly checks, Gestational Diabetes test (yuck! but passed of course!)
• 12/17/2012 - 6th appointment at WBWC - 28w6d
• 01/04/2013 - 7th appointment at WBWC - 31w3d
• 01/06/2013 - First Birthing Class with Birthing from Within doula Julie - weekly on Sundays now!
• 01/12/2013 - MY BABY SHOWER :-) Douglas' parents Paula & Jim will be there with us from Florida! - 32w4d
• 01/18/2013 - 8th appointment with WBWC - 33w3d

So...those are the tangible milestones...and I remember that the night I was certain I felt Jayden moving was the night before our family pics... 09/21/2012. Now the little guy is a certified gymnast!

Well, though I can't concentrate right now, I should probably get back to work! Many more updates coming in the near future as I just want to get this over with already!!! I can't expand anymore...not possible, right?!
